Sneak Peek at the New Virtual Reality Kraken

Take a look at SeaWorld’s new attraction

SeaWorld have revealed the launch date for the all-new Kraken coaster as well as some exciting new pictures…

Back in September, SeaWorld Orlando announced that one of their most popular rides- the Kraken, was set to undergo an epic makeover, transforming the park favourite into an all-new virtual reality experience! It’s now been confirmed that Kraken Unleashed: Virtual Reality Experience will be launching on 16th June, so if you’re visiting this summer, you’ll be able to try out the new, exciting addition for yourself!

If you’re not familiar with the Kraken, it’s one of SeaWorld’s most terrifying rollercoasters, reaching speeds of 65mph and heights of more than 150-feet! It’s also Orlando’s only floorless rollercoaster and features a total of 7 inversions, including 2 vertical loops, a zero-g roll and a dive loop. If you thought that sounded scary, things are about to get a whole lot scarier thanks to the new virtual reality element.

Riders will each have a state-of-the-art virtual reality headset, that will transport them to the depths of the ocean. Look out for mysterious sea creatures including the mighty sea monster- the Kraken. The VR headsets are optional, so don't worry if you'd rather enjoy the thrills of the Kraken without it. Check out the pictures below for a sneak peek of what you can expect…

If you haven’t already heard, SeaWorld have also announced plans to open another new ride called Infinity Falls. Expected to debut in summer 2018, the new ride will be a record-breaking attraction, that once completed, will be the tallest river rapid drop ride in the world! Each raft will twist and turn through a lush jungle environment, facing class IV rapids, before being launched into the river 40-feet below.
