The Manatee, or 'Sea Cow', is one of the gentle giants of the sea and to swim with these delightful, slow-swimming creatures is a guaranteed unforgettable life experience! Enjoy a relaxing narrated boat ride along the Crystal River into the heart of Manatee country before dropping anchor and climbing into the water with these amazing creatures. Mask, snorkel, and fins are included, but wet suits are not included. (they are available for hire if required). Following your quality time with the Manatees of the Crystal River, you will be whisked away for a thrilling airboat ride before enjoying a riverside picnic-style lunch. After lunch, head to Homosassa State Park, renowned for its rare and endangered species including Manatees, bears, panthers, alligators and even a hippo.
The Swim with Manatees tour operates on Tuesdays year round, plus there is an additional departure on Fridays between 1 April and 31 October. The tour picks up from various central locations in Orlando between 6.45am and 8.15am and the return time to Orlando is around 5.00pm.You will need to make your way to the nearest pick-up point which will be detailed on your ticket voucher. The service is designed to save you sitting on a coach that picks up from every hotel in Orlando. Transfer time to the Crystal River is around 2 hours.
Pleaase Note: Due to the natural conditions of this experience, an encounter with the Manatees cannot be guaranteed. The peak viewing season is October to March. However due to the water temperature and abundance of food, there is a population of around 100-150 Manatees that live in the Crystal River year round.

It was amazing! Our host was brilliant & all 3 attractions were brilliant.
Excellent value for money. We did see and swim with 1 small manatee, though the water was murky. The best bit was snorkelling in the 3 Springs, so clear and lots of tropical fish. Also, Wild Bills on the hover boat was an extra we didn't know about and the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Sate Park - though there wasn't enough time to look around here, it was a small park with rescued anilmals. We had our lunch here, all provided - VERY good deal.
This is the second time I have done this trip with Florida Tours. They are an excellent company and I would recommend this day to other travellers.
Would recommend to all, well worth the price. Don't have beakfast before you leave to meet the coach, as first stop is to an all-you-can buffet place. Swim with manatees was fantastic, truly humbling. Then to lovely small wildlife park for lunch, easy to walk round, lots to see. Lastly the airboat ride which was great, wish it was longer! Extremely good day, very glad we booked it.
